ka tiki advertises being on the beach which is a lie. they are across the street.my wife and i went there for a couple of drinks and decided to walk across the street .we weren't even gone five minutes.when we got back there employees were in our car because we were blocking someone into there lot.they were trying to jam the car into neutral apparently to push us out of the way. i was furious to see people in my car. when i got in the car and tried to move it , i found they had broken the shifter and i couldn't drive it. at this point i am my wife and i are being attacked by ka tikis mutant staff. we had no choice but to leave our car and walk away. we called the cops and filed a report. ka tiki had our car illegally towed considering they don't even own the property we were towed from. all of the cars are parked 3 deep so someone is always blocked in and they don't even have a lot attendant. they told us we couldn't come back again, i just laughed and said, are you f-ng kidding me. why would i

I went here about 3 months ago. Unfortunately, have not been able to make it back out there. The night the group I was with were there the live band had a fiddler. I have not heard one in years live. They played original music, took requests. They were just amazing to listen to. Want to talk about awesome bartenders. There was a drink we asked him if he made. He never heard of it but, asked us how and went to town on it and nailed it the first time. Perfect and delicious! The drinks price were not that bad, about average with the other bars on the beach. I love how it is mainly outside. I mean yea you walk under this hut style roof with only half walls. Which is nice when everyone is smoking (including me). Keeps the air flowing. Just watch out for the bathrooms! Even though I had no problem, the hall they are down is soooo skinny. Two people passing each other will probably end up bumping up ALOT. LOL It is a really cool place to go, plus it is right across from the beach. Totally amazing views!!!!! and good music! Thanks kevin t. I will definitely have to go on Monday to check out the Roadhouse Rockers!

Just want to do an update. Kat has sold the bar, but you wouldn't know it to go in. Still the same great barmaids, excellent service and killer good times. Cruise in, get a cold one, kick back and live the beach life with the coolest locals on the beach.

It's a beach bar. Across from Caddy's. Not the same scene whatsoever. More of an older, crustier, local crowd versus the testerone laced place across the street. Laid back, good drinks, friendly locals and cash only. Much better than the other alternative local bar that is right on the beach. Go here. Always better though when there is live music.

It's a great bar if you know what you're getting into. Yes, there are beach drunks. Yes, there are locals that can be territorial. Yes, if you come with your polo shirt tucked in wearing a belt, you may be a toyed with. But man, the music is always going. And it's good music and all over the board. The drinks are a decent strength and pretty inexpensive. The place is laid out pretty well. It's phenomenal way to burn a Saturday or Sunday afternoon or an evening. And depending upon the day - it's usually a great bunch of people - the staff is friendly. Couple pieces of advice - 1) parking - they park two (or more) deep in their lot - make yourself known and listen over the PA if they call out your make and model - don't be "that guy" 2) the live music stops at 11pm - they're pretty hardline about that 3) you can smoke inside or out - but it's all open air so it's not really that noticeable, but most people smoke out on the patio under the grass hut tables. 4) wear your beach shorts and a t-shirt and flip-flops 5) have fun and 6) if you're hanging in St Pete beach and you don't want to drive you can call the free taxi - just remember to tip them otherwise they put you on a DNA (Do Not Answer) list - but DO NOT leave your car there especially behind someone else - you will not like the outcome

This is a real cool beach bar in Treasure Island. I have been in just a couple times now but have had a great time when here. We met some friends for drinks Friday night and they had a pretty good band playing. Its a pretty small place but has a real fun atmosphere. There are a lot of regulars who are always fun to have a quick conversation with. Drinks are average from what I saw. Im not sure what the weekday specials are since Ive only been in on a weekend. They have a pretty cool pick up window you can just go and order your drinks at. Its better than standing at the bar if its crowded. The first time I came they had a guy cooking burgers on a grill which was different but cool as well. Brought a different vibe. Check it out!

Great live music, fair prices, local flavor, and an eclectic crowd. I would go again and recommend it to others as a fun and casual beach bar. Nothing negative to say about it. I was able to see the sunset too! Bring quarters for the parking meters on the other side of the street. Parking is pretty limited. Also it's a beach bar. They have food and a wait staff, but don't come here looking for Golden Coral on your Florida vacation. It's a beach bar. Try Cracker Barrel. I'm a St Petersburgian, trust me, it's a great beach bar. Have fun, stop being rude and do yourself and everyone a favor and relax.

OK, here is the qualifier.... This place is a locals bar, about a block from my house. Live Music most every day. It's a Beach Bar/ the beach is just across the narrow street....there you are on the beach in 7 seconds! See the "Friends of Bill" meeting on Sunday mornings, and watch from across the street....while yo have a cocktail! "Hi, I'm Bill, and I am an alcoholic!" Then, have a toast to Bill's sobriety. :^ ) Good service, unless it's crazy busy (its fun when it's crazy busy!) Good Drinks, nice people....last time there, I think you could smoke at the bar....that's not a bonus to me.....might be to you... Wear your trashy lawn mowing clothes and torn flip flops? Nobody cares...

Worst place on the west coast, wouldn't want to see anyone experience what I have .treated badly by the management . Food is poor but the rudeness was the worst. Do yourself a favor and find another place. They cater to drunks and low life's. Enjoy your vacation far away from this place.

I usually love places for locals..but this wasn't very friendly. My wife and I came here around noon during the week for a drink. Bartender ignored us for the most part. A really drunk guy came up and told us he knows "what we are and he bets we drive a jeep". Then he pointed to some other drunk lady, said "see that bitch? She got my name on her lips", he kept putting his arms around us and hanging over us. Uncomfortable. Never going back.

Nice location, very casual, fun atmosphere, and reasonable prices. They serve basic bar food. Good bands / live music in the evenings. Locals are here and it's a good place for the 40s plus crowd. During busy season parking is tight, good to get there early on Friday and Saturdays.

Our great friends played here last night, Disco Inferno, they were the reason we checked out this little piece of beach Magic! Loved the environment ! Loved the staff! Especially AUSTIN the bartender! He was an amazing bartender!!! Had the best shot recipes! He was fast and friendly! Will definitely be back when we visit next!

This bar is definitely a locals hangout. They have a small bar menu with some good selections for the price! The drinks are great! We had several drinks that were poured generously and were priced right. Go to Ka'Tiki if your looking to kill some time on a nice day and listen to some live local music.

Pretty decent bar which is right across the street from the beach and Caddy's. It's an obvious "regulars" bar and has the tiki hut theme to it. Nothing special - small bar, pool table, small seating area, good bartender, and cheap drinks. Just a plain bar with not much of a vibe.

Love this place! It's a locals Sunset beach bar but we're all friendly here, so tourists are welcome and Don't feel out of place! Decent drink prices and the bartenders are friendly!

One of the best beach bars around. Has a fun local vibe,, all of who are friendly. Bartenders are fun! The live bands are great! Great drink specials and they are always having cool giveaway contests like beach cruisers!! The food menu is re-vamped and chef kyle has taken the BLT to a new level, it is literally the best BLT I have ever had. The cheeseburgers are fantastic too. Actually all the food is good. Very clean restrooms. And the description said not handicap accessible but they do have a ramp.... Having family in a wheelchair they would have no problem. Great times all around

Five stars for the Monday night live Blues. Seriously, this is THE place for listening to incredible live Blues in all of Tampa Bay (and beyond) Only on Monday nights though. This Monday night "Blues Jam" featuring the Roadhouse rockers features a number of musicians, changing up and around, all in sync with the other musicians and the audience. Guitar, drums and bass. No more than those three. All, dare I say, perfectly mixed, so no one drowns out the other and matched even to the acoustics of playing out on the patio deck. Perhaps a minor detail to some, but a great effort is put into perfecting the sound check. Fantastic stuff. Some of the best I have heard in many years at some high profile venue$ around the country. Tuesday nights is 'anything goes' jams. Hit or miss there. Go on a Monday night and you'll be bringing your friends back the next week to here the awesome Blues jams. Mostly locals here; a friendly crowd and friendly bartenders with great drafts and drinks...all back for the good music and friends. The crowd is older - 30s to 60s. It's Florida, but no Blue hairs here. About a 50/50 ladies/guys mix. Some dancing to the music and plenty of good times. Parking can be a challenge, so be patient and be sure not to park just 'anywhere'. Very casual dress code. Cash only.

All I can said is omg ! I have been a bartender and bar owner for the better part of 30 years and I have never witnessed that blatant irresponsibility from a bartender. We were there for the Chili cook off last week and some guy couldn't talk ,could barely walk and had tried to start 3 fights. Was he asked to leave ? Hell no ! bartenders served him another drink....yea that usually calms people down LOL. I witnessed 3 groups, including our group of a total of at least 7 people leave Wow great business idea serve the ass and let him clear out your bar ???? Owners need to retrain there older bar staff.

Holy crap... Talk about a place that is always a party. I am pretty sure that no matter what time of the day is, there are people in here partying and drinking. I came here a few times while on Spring Break, and I have to admit that this place gets WILD. Or maybe I was just really wild? Either way, we had an awesome time every night. They have giant bamboo in which you put shot glasses for you to then lift up and drink as a group. Talk about a bonding experience for you and some strangers or for your family and friends. The bartenders here were always very nice and friendly.
